ASHP

GSHP
Ground Source Heat Pump. Extracts heat from underground via buried pipes. More efficient than ASHPs but significantly more expensive to install.
BUS Grant
Boiler Upgrade Scheme. A government grant of 7,500 pounds towards the cost of installing a heat pump, available until 2028.
Flow temperature
The temperature of water leaving the boiler or heat pump. Heat pumps work best at lower flow temperatures (35-45C) compared to boilers (60-70C).
